Frequently asked questions
What can I expect at my initial consultation?
An initial consultation lasts 45 minutes, and a follow-up consultation lasts 30 minutes. To assess you fully and better understand your situation, we will ask you about your history and examine you.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed for private billing, as we are first-contact practitioners. For fees to be covered for DVA / Medicare, a referral is required before consultation, or an insurance claim number before the session.
How do I pay for my appointment?
Payment will depend on the appointment type. For insurance claims, there is no out of pocket cost. We invoice to the insuring body. For private consultations, we accept cards on site and the patient pays the gap fee. If you forget to bring your card, you have the option to pay upfront and then we’ll email you the invoice for you to claim on your end.
What should I wear to my appointment?
All clothing is fine, however, loose clothing is ideal to make checking e.g., knees more ideal. We always prioritise patient comfort during our consultations and drape as appropriate. If there are any issues, please immediately raise it with us.
Is there parking on-site?
Parking is available on-site at both the Virginia and Two Wells practice. More information on both sites are available here.
Do you do home visits?
Yes, we can do home visits. More information is available here.
